Description

The Electric Vehicle Aftersales Benchmark (EVAB) covers the strategic impacts of EVs on aftersales, thus freeing up time at NAPB to talk tactics. This session will specifically cover the warehouse changes required in anticipation of handling EV batteries. We will go deeper in this session than in previous discussions, highlighting 5-10 case studies of companies who have already made warehouse changes. The session will include views of the warehouse before and after the changes, analysis of the cost impact of the change (in relative terms), and lessons learned that can apply to other companies in a similar position. Topics covered will include:  Selecting the site or sites in which to store EV batteries from a warehouse perspective (which states are friendly to battery storage, how to quickly rule out or prioritize a site)  Uncovering all the regulations surrounding battery storage  Learning the storage requirements for an OEM’s particular product   Working with regulators and inspectors during the permitting process  Selecting suppliers of battery storage equipment or technology  Considering implementation processes, timelines, and costs (to be anonymized)
