The importance of the parts catalog grows along with the rise of e-commerce. We last covered this topic in 2016, when e-commerce was just ramping up. In 2022, with both dealership and end customer eyes on our parts catalogs, we have to be at least as good as the household goods companies that customers see every day. Parts catalog leaders will tell us:
- What new types of search functionality are the best catalogs offering?
- How does the catalog support ensuring the customer finds the right part (and all the parts) needed to complete the repair?
- How are OEMs modifying the dealer parts catalog to be used by the end customer in an e-commerce environment?
